Maria Isabel Mendoza
Nurses and medical assistants obtain patients’ medical records and medical histories for their consultation and during their treatment course, send orders, help arrange ancillary services, and provide education and support for patients and their families.
Maria has worked in healthcare for over 15 years in several specialties and discovered that Oncology is my passion. When at work, her motivation is coming to work and knowing she makes a difference in the lives of the patients she serves. Her work, is just not a job it is a passion.
She recently moved from San Antonio, Texas, where she worked at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Neurosurgery, Neurosurgical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, CT Surgery and General Surgery, where she was the lead of the department. Maria earned her M.A. from the National Institute of Technology in San Antonio. She also holds certifications in both research trials and Spanish medical interpreter. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
Maria has 2 daughters, Samantha and Elisa, and 3 step children, Adrianna, Cross and Dalten. She is a grandmother to Nathaniel. She loves to cook, workout, and travel. Most of all, she loves to help others get back to enjoying life and being free from illness.
